Everyone can beat the latest energy price rises with Switch Telford!
Despite significant recent price increases by many energy suppliers (such as EDF and NPower and most recently, British Gas), Telford & Wrekin Council continues to help people save considerably on their monthly gas & electricity bills.
Since its launch in spring last year, Switch Telford, the Council’s FREE energy price comparison and switching website, has recorded more than 700 switches of gas&electricity providers.
And as energy price rises from many suppliers kick in, switching to a new supplier and a better deal is helping customers save on average over £200 a year with Switch Telford.
Savings as high as £650 a year have been achieved through www.switch.telford.gov.uk/ .
The Council operates ‘Switch Telford’ in partnership with Ofgem-accredited UK Power, to make it easier for anyone to save money on their energy bills and help them beat the energy price hikes.
And you don’t have to live in the borough to benefit – anyone can!
www.switch.telford.gov.uk determines the best deal for each household and gives totally independent advice on the cheapest tariff.
Anyone using this service can see in one place, FREE of charge, all the gas and electricity deals on the market in real time and can switch supplier easily, in as little as five minutes.
When making the switch, you don’t even have to contact your old supplier or change any direct debits, as Switch Telford will do this for you.
All the commission earned by the Council through Switch Telford – more than £6,500 in its first year – helps to support Council’s services for vulnerable people from the Borough.
The commission is paid to the Council from energy suppliers, the service is free for residents to use and doesn’t affect what people pay.
