The borough’s Carer’s Wellbeing guide is at its second edition, the first one being launched last year.

It includes updated information for carers in the borough on a wide range of benefits and financial support schemes, community support services, wellbeing advice, getting out and about in the borough and many more.

Cllr Andy Burford, Cabinet Member for Health and Social Care said:

“Do you provide care or support to a relative, partner, child or friend who has an illness, disability, addiction or is older and frail? If the answer is yes, then you are a carer.

“We know that while caring is rewarding and fulfilling, it can be also challenging and exhausting at times, impacting on your wellbeing.

“We are here to help and make life easier for all carers in our borough.

“This Carer’s Wellbeing Guide developed by our Council and local partners tells you in one place about the support you are entitled to as a carer and signposts to many local organisations that can be of assistance to you.

“Thank you for the vital role you continue to play in looking after your loved one(s) and enabling them to get the most out of their lives.

“We hope this guide will help you make the most of the support available to you.

“Please help us spread the word about the guide so many carers in our borough can benefit from it- visit www.telford.gov.uk/carerswellbeing
