Community group funding available

Do you work with or know a community group that may benefit from extra funding for a community or environmental project that makes a difference?

Community group funding available

As part of Telford & Wrekin Council’s waste contract with Veolia, funding has been set aside to help local groups that need additional funding for a project which will benefit their local environment or community.

Example applications could be a local allotment group applying for money for a new lawn mower, a community group wanting to restore wildlife habitats or a toddler group needing money to brighten up its play area.

The Veolia EnviroGrant awards groups up to £1,000 for projects that benefit the environment or local communities.

The closing date for applications is 31 January 2021 and applicants have up to 12 months in which to spend the money after receiving a grant, so plenty of time.

More information and to apply here. If you prefer a paper copy please email ruth.jones@veolia.com.
