Here are details of what our crews are working on this week, plus links to more information and to report any issues you are aware of.

Pride in Our Community improvements - week starting 30 September 2019

Road surfacing – Resurfacing work is ongoing along Apley Roundabout/Whitchurch Drive near the Princess Royal Hospital, work is overnight with road closures in place from 8.30pm to 6am and is likely to last till Thursday. Diversions signs will be in place and access to the hospital will be via Grainger Drive. More information here.

The A442 to Halesfield Slip Road will be closed from the 30 October (24hrs a day) for 3 weeks and Brockton Way to Castlefields Roundabout (A4169) slip road will be closed from the 2 October (24hrs a day) for 2 weeks, with full diversion in place during the works. Advanced warning signs are out. The main thoroughfare of Brockton way is open as normal. For further information please see www.telford.gov.uk/resurfacing 

Waterloo Street in Ironbridge closed from 10am today and will be shut until Friday 22nd November. This is work being done by Severn Trent Water. More info here

Drains – crews are out with the gully tanker cleaning drains in Oakengates and St Georges. You can report a drainage issue here.  

Road safety schemes – crews are installing road safety measures around Aqueduct Primary, Donnington Wood Junior, Queenswood Primary, Priory, Telford Priory and Wombridge Primary, schools. Road lining will also be done around Randlay, Newdale and St Luke’s schools.

Residential car parking schemes – work to increase car parking in Stone Row starts this week.

Potholes - crews are filling potholes that have been reported to us. This week they are in Brookside, Dawley, Dawley Bank, Donnington, Hollinswood, Ironbridge, Ketley, Randlay, Roden, St Georges, The Rock, Wellington, Wrockwardine Wood. Please report any you spot here.

Shawbirch No1 Underpass improvements – a crew will be on site again this week.

Footpaths – crews are improving footpaths in St Georges (Dukes Way). You can report a footpath issue here.

Street lighting – crews fix faulty street lights reported to us. Please report any you spot here.

Grounds maintenance – crews are out grass cutting in areas across the borough, pruning in Brookside, Halesfield, Horsehay, Leegomery and Wellington, trimming hedges in Donnington and Muxton, and finishing meadow cuts in various locations. The arboricultural team are in Dothill, Shawbirch and The Rock. You can report a grounds maintenance issue here

Street cleansing - crews are bin emptying and litter picking in areas across the borough, road sweeping in Ketley and Oakengates and cleaning paths in Woodside. You can report an issue with littering here.

Street Champions – our volunteer Street Champions are out and about doing their bit to keep neighbourhoods tidy.  In addition, Reassure staff will be pit litter picking in the Town Park and along the Silkin Way on Tuesday.
