Maintenance/cleansing on dual carriageways – from today until 31 July our highways and grounds/street cleansing crews are working on the A442, A464, A4169, A5, A518, A5223, B4373 and B5072. Tasks include gully cleaning, grass cutting, hedge cutting, tree works, litter picking, road sweeping, street light replacements, and repairs to the carriageway and roadside barriers. Please note there will be a number of temporary, overnight road closures to allow crews to safely undertake the work and minimise disruption to motorists. More information here.
Drains – crews are out with the gully tanker cleaning drains in Brookside and Stirchley. You can report a drainage issue here.
Road marking – crews are refreshing road markings in Ketley and Overdale.

Crews are, however, revisiting various locations to upgrade any less straightforward lights e.g. where access had been an issue on their initial visit. If you have a question about street lighting, please email streetlighting@telford.gov.uk.
Grounds maintenance – crews are out as usual this week, grass cutting and summer pruning in areas across the borough. You can report a grounds maintenance issue here.

Environmental enforcement – After the rain and recent warm weather, people’s gardens are going into overdrive and we’ve had a number of calls from people complaining about overhanging hedges/trees. Our enforcement team has provided advice to callers, but here’s some information about hedges you may find useful and trees.

Our champions in Muxton will doing a litter pick on Saturday (13 July) and would love it if others could join them - meet at St Johns Church at 2.30pm for a 3pm start, Equipment provided.
