Here’s what our crews are working on this week, plus links to more information, useful reminders and to report any issues you are aware of.

Roadworks and traffic management schemes - get live updates on street works and traffic management schemes in Telford and Wrekin here.

Drains – crews are out with the gully tanker cleaning drains in Ketley and Oakengates. You can report a drainage issue here.

Road marking – crews are refreshing road markings in Ketley Bank and Oakengates.

Road surfacing – crews are in Halesfield 10 this week. Weather permitting, the work is due to be finished by mid-July.

Potholes - crews are filling potholes that have been reported to us. This week they are in Brookside, Madeley, Stirchley and The Humbers. Please report any you spot here.

Footpaths – crews are improving footpaths in Aqueduct, Dawley, Malinslee, Newport, Trench and Wrockwardine Wood. You can report a footpath issue here.

Advance notice on upcoming work planned on dual carriageways from 8-31 July - our highways crews will be joining join forces with our grounds and cleansing crews to undertake work on the A442, A464, A4169, A5, A518, A5223, B4373 and B5072. Tasks will include gully cleaning, grass cutting, hedge cutting, tree works, litter picking, road sweeping, street light replacements, and repairs to the carriageway and roadside barriers. There will be a number of temporary, overnight road closures to allow crews to safely undertake the work and minimise disruption to motorists. Street lighting – the main programme to upgrade street lights to more energy efficient LEDs is complete. Crews are, however, revisiting various locations to upgrade any less straightforward lights e.g. where access had been an issue on their initial visit. Grounds maintenance – crews are out as usual this week, grass cutting in areas across the borough. You can report a grounds maintenance issue here.

Street cleansing - crews are out road sweeping in Tibberton, Edgmond, B5062, Waters Upton, Crudgington and High Ercall. Crews are also out litter picking and bin emptying across the borough. You can report an issue with littering here.

Environmental enforcement – a concerned member of the public spotted the driver of a concrete mixer truck washing its mixer out on the roadside and depositing the contents down a public drain. A lot of detailed information was shared with our enforcement team and they are currently investigating. If you spot anything that concerns you please report it to us.

Street Champions – our volunteer Street Champions are out and about doing their bit to keep neighbourhoods tidy. Details about becoming a Street Champion and other volunteering opportunities here.
