Find out about a rewarding career in social care

Carers and representatives from Telford & Wrekin Council’s My Options service will be on hand to talk about current vacancies and what it’s like to work in social care.

Councillor Paul Watling, Cabinet Member for Children’s & Adult’s Early Help & Support at Telford & Wrekin Council, said: “We’ve got a number of vacancies to showcase on Friday, with a mixture between permanent and temporary positions offering a variety of hours.

“The opportunities are varied, the work is rewarding and the door is always open to applicants of every age and from every walk of life – you don’t need to have worked in social care before.

“Working in social care you can make a real difference to someone’s life and see how the people you care for develop over time with your support. For that reason in social care can be a very satisfying job to have.”

My Options offers competitive rates of pay, a range of benefits: including, free comprehensive training and development, and free pre-employment checks.

To find out more about the jobs fair or to talk about the roles on offer you can all My Options on 01952 381317 or email myoptions@telford.gov.uk.
