One pound school holiday activities launched for Easter

Telford & Wrekin Council’s one-pound kids holiday activities are back for the Easter school holidays, helping residents to spend less and stay local once again.

One pound school holiday activities launched for Easter

The latest school holiday brochure has all of the family favourite activities like swimming, bike hire, tennis, golf and soft play available 7 days a week from Monday 3 to Sunday 16 April.

As the weather warms those families wanting to make the most of the outdoors can look to Telford Bike Hub in Telford Town Park who are offering one pound bike hire. Adventure golf, disc golf and Sky Reach are also open during the Easter holidays.

Stuart Davidson, Service Delivery Manager (Operations) Community, Customer and  Commercial Services said: “We are delighted to offer indoor and outdoor activities every day during the two week Easter break to help keep families busy. We know many people are still struggling financially at the moment with the rising cost of living and this makes our ‘kids for a quid’ activities more important than ever. Over 1,000 residents took part during February half term so we know how valued these activities are right now.”

Many of these activities are also part of the council’s 10 by 10 programme which offers all children ten activities they should try before they are ten years old.

Residents will need a Telford Loyalty Card to book sessions. Activities can be booked 7 days in advance (with the exception of swimming) to help ensure you get your guaranteed slots.

The latest brochure can now be found online at www.telfordandwrekinleisure.co.uk/kidsforaquid
