“This 10th birthday milestone provides an opportunity to celebrate the fantastic projects that have been delivered in the borough for our residents. We are very proud to be delivering high class leisure and fitness facilities with continuing investment into our centres to ensure a quality fitness provision.
The opening of this sports and leisure centre 10 years ago was a fantastic achievement and a very proud moment, we had a vison from the start to deliver a first class sporting facility with a swimming pool with movable floor, state of the art Aspirations Health & Fitness suite and indoor sporting facilities of the highest calibre which could be used and accessed by the local community, and it’s been great to see so many of our regular customers, members, children and visitors using and enjoying this facility from the very first day the doors opened “”
Councillor Kelly Middleton (Lab), Cabinet Member for leisure, public health and well-being, equalities and partnerships said:
“A huge thanks to all the staff who have worked over the years at the Abraham Darby Sports and Leisure Centre delivering a great service to residents and visitors, thanks also to all the customers who have joined as members, used the sports and swimming facilities and continued to support the centre. We are looking forward to a great day on Saturday celebrating”.
