The new-look gym which is now back open has new state of the art gym kit installed from Pulse Fitness including 18 cardio stations complete with treadmills, elliptical cross trainers and stepmills. There are also 14 fixed resistance stations and 6 free weight stations - plus a functional training zone benefiting from a ski erg and air bike enabling members the freedom to mix up functional training sessions with resistance too.

New customers are being offered a free visit to the gym and if they choose to sign up before the end of October they will receive one month free on their membership.

Councillor Eileen Callear, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Culture and Visitor Economy commented: “Our leisure facilities right across the borough play a vital role in contributing to people’s physical and mental wellbeing – now more than ever - and this why as a council, we continue to invest so that our gyms, swimming pools and indoor spaces to ensure they are great places to visit.

We hope our existing members will love and really benefit from the variety of new pulse fitness equipment we have installed.”

Telford and Wrekin Deputy Mayor, Councillor Raj Mehta commented: “Well done to the whole team who have been involved in the gym refurbishment here at Horsehay which took just 1 week to complete; ensuring that facilities were back open for customers as soon as possible.  Horsehay Golf and Fitness Centre is a wonderful facility for people living here in Horsehay and also residents living right across Telford and Wrekin; we know these new and improved gym facilities will be a fantastic addition to the existing golf course and driving range which so many people use day in, day out.”
