Refurbishment for aspirations gym at Stirchley Sports and Leisure @Park School
Telford & Wrekin Council’s next aspirations gym refurbishment will begin at Stirchley Sports and Leisure @Park School next week.
The refurbishment will include upgrades to the aspiration’s gym on site installed by Pulse Fitness include 23 cardio stations, complete with treadmills, elliptical cross trainers, step mills. There will also be 14 fixed resistance stations and a smith machine.
The investment comes as a part of the council’s wider commitment for leisure services which was announced last year to help make the borough cleaner, greener, safer and more enjoyable.
Councillor Kelly Middleton (Labour), Cabinet Member for Leisure, Public Health and Well-Being, Equalities and Partnerships commented: “As a council that is on the side of our residents, we want to ensure everyone in our borough has access to a variety of leisure facilities where they can prioritise their physical and mental wellbeing and this will be out fourth refurbishment in the last 12 months.
“The new gym facilities at Stirchley will also play a huge part in The Park School’s PE lessons. We very much hope the new equipment will help teachers to get the best out of our young people; helping students to boost their fitness ability and confidence inside of the gym.”
The gym facilities at Stirchley Sports and Leisure @Park School will be closed between Wednesday 15 February and Friday 24 February 2023 while work takes place – re-opening on Saturday 25 February.
Customers are reminded that they can use any other aspirations centres in Telford and Wrekin during this time.
