Horsehay Village Golf Course expands opening to 18 holes
From Saturday 30 May, Horsehay Village Golf Course will expand the golf course to 18 holes and offer members the option to unfreeze their direct debit and annual memberships or continue to pay as you go.
The course will open on both sides from the 30 May, running as a true 18 hole course rather than 2 sets of 9 holes. Golfers will need to start from hole 1 which is located outside the clubhouse, irrespective of whether they are playing 9 or 18 holes.
As the golf offer has now extended to its original capacity, regular users of the course will now have the option to unfreeze their direct debit or annual membership payments. Requests for this should be emailed to directdebitadministrator@telford.gov.uk. Members can continue to leave their memberships frozen if they wish and continue to pay as you go for both 9 and 18 holes.
In line with Government rules a number of conditions will continue to be in place including the clubhouse remaining closed, online booking only and start times staggered 15 minutes apart to help ensure social distancing.
A further reminder that participation of outdoor sport must be alone, with members of the same household or with one individual from a different household providing social distancing measures are observed.
To ensure all outdoor sport and leisure facilities are used in a safe environment, key guidelines have been set regarding the usage of the course and information prior to attending. Please find this information here.
Cllr Eileen Callear, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Libraries, and Culture “It’s great that golfers can start to see a little more normality, with the opening of the full 18 holes at Horsehay Village Golf Course.”
“The team have worked hard behind the scenes to ensure customers are playing in a safe environment and that the course is maintained for some great games as we start to see some warmer weather.”
