Joint letter to businesses appealing for PPE donations
Telford & Wrekin Council and NHS Telford and Wrekin Clinical Commissioning Group have written a joint letter to business leaders appealing for donations and supply of personal protective equipment to help with the battle against the coronavirus pandemic.
The letter has been signed by council leader Councillor Shaun Davies and the CCG’s Accountable Officer David Evans.
They said “We have already seen a number of local companies come forward with PPE stocks lying unused due to temporary closure.
“This is very welcome but more is needed and we are therefore asking local business and organisations to help with the supply.”
Items that are needed include disposable plastic aprons, disposable examination gloves (all sizes) face masks, full body suits, eye protection / goggles, face visors, alcohol-based hand sanitisers, liquid soap, medical style disinfectant wipes with alcohol, paper hand towels, shoe protectors, tissues.
