Sky Reach High Ropes Achieves National Quality Mark
Sky Reach High Ropes, located in Telford Town Park has achieved the Learning Outside the Classroom quality badge with the Adventure Mark. This is a nationally recognised mark of quality and safety for learning in an outdoor environment.
Sky Reach High Ropes delivers a variety of adventure and educational activities on site at Telford Town Park. Situated in the heart of Southwater, the high ropes course is open to the public and to schools for the ultimate package of thrills and challenge.
These outdoor opportunities have proven memorable for children and young people leading to learning that really sticks – learning about adventure, about the environment, about each other, and importantly, about themselves.
Recently Sky Reach has been asked to design a programme for young adults that develops the soft skills that local employers say they are looking for, including problem solving, task planning, team work and communication.
The programme ‘Work Ready Work Smart’ uses the Plan-Do-Review-Conclude approach as participants challenge themselves through a series of activities. Everyone is active, involved and having fun together too!
Councillor Rae Evans, Cabinet Member for Customer Services, Partnerships, Culture and Leisure said: “Sky Reach high ropes have achieved so much in such a short amount of time, the team do work hard to provide both an exciting experience but also one that educates and resonates with both the public and schools in the borough.”
