£15,000 EnviroGrant Scheme Opens
Community groups and organisations within Telford and Wrekin can now apply for grant funding of up to £1,000 from the added value scheme - EnviroGrant.
The scheme is run by recycling and waste contractor Veolia in partnership with Telford & Wrekin Council. It began in 2014 and so far £50,000 has been awarded to more than 80 projects and groups in the borough.
Grants of up to £1,000 are available to properly-constituted not-for- profit organisations for projects that benefit the environment or the local community. The closing date for applications is 31 January 2020.
Steve Mitchell, Director - West Midlands at Veolia, said: “We are thrilled to be able to support fantastic local projects that make the borough an even better place to work and live.
“The EnviroGrant scheme is part of the added value that Veolia are committed to bring to the local community. Projects could be about improving the local environment through practical action or education; or they could improve the quality of life for the local community by providing or improving facilities and resources. We’re encouraging groups to go online for more info.”
