Telford Ice Rink will undergo further building works from 12 March for eight weeks following a £75,000 investment from Telford & Wrekin Council.

In helping to maintain one of the biggest leisure attractions in Telford, the improvements will involve modifications to the main reception area, allowing Telford Ice Rink to improve the flow of customers into the building during peak periods.

Further changes will be made to the boot hire area of Telford Ice Rink, and into Café Go. Following feedback from customers, the new improvements aim to enable more customers to queue inside the building instead of outside.

As part of this investment, on 15 April the existing spectator seating will be completely replaced with new seats and flooring to reveal a new spectator balcony space.

Telford Ice Rink will remain fully operational at all times during these building changes, but encourage customers to book in advance at www.telfordandwrekinleisure.co.uk/telfordicerink to help avoid additional queue times.

Councillor John Minor, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Green Spaces and Parks, said: “These improvements will be key for our customers at Telford Ice Rink. We’ve really tried to listen to individual feedback and these changes to the building and spectator area reflect what our customers would like to see.”

“The team would appreciate patience during this busy period, but would also like to remind customers we are very much still open for skating.”
