Pride In Our Community improvements - week beginning 1 October 2018
Here’s an update on what our crews are working on this week - improvements to roads, footpaths, street lighting and much more...
Roads – work continues in Kingsway Crescent, Kingsland, Charles Road and Arleston Avenue, Manor Road, Toll Road and Stone Crescent, Arleston and Ercall Lane, Hollies Road and Orleton Lane, Wellington. Crews are also doing ad-hoc manhole/gully replacements on Hall Park Way/Chetwynd End, Newport/Holyhead Rd, Wellington and Stirchley Interchange.
Footpaths – improvements start in Oakengates and Ketley Bank, and continue in The Nedge.
Road lining – road lining crews are in Madeley and The Gorge on a find and fix basis.
Signing – crews are working in Horsehay and Hadley, and will then make a start in Oakengates.
Grit bins – crews are starting a check on all the grit bins in the borough (all 670+ of them) and filling where needed as part of our preparations for winter. Information on grit bins, including locations here.
Potholes - crews are filling potholes that have been reported to us. The Jetpatcher is also out in more rural areas filling potholes and other defects that have been reported to us. Please report any potholes you spot here or via the Everyday Telford app.
Street lighting – crews are still working on upgrading street lights in Wrockwardine, Ketley, Dawley and Lawley. If you have a question about street lighting, please email streetlighting@telford.gov.uk.
Litter picking, grass cutting and pruning – crews are out grass cutting, pruning, weeding and litter picking. You can report a grounds maintenance issue here. Anyone wanting to report an issue with littering in their area can do so here.
Improvements in Hollies Road and surrounding area in Wellington continue until mid-December. Temporary road closures are in place, but are being phased in order to keep disruption to local residents & businesses to a minimum. More info, including FAQs & a contact here.
