Win £25,000 and support local good causes with Twincl
The inaugural draw for Twincl, the Telford and Wrekin Community Lottery, will take place this week on the 28th July.
There is still plenty of time for people to buy their tickets to be in with a chance to win £25,000.
Tickets cost £1 and 60p of every ticket sold goes towards supporting local good causes in Telford and Wrekin. This represents more than double the amount the National Lottery gives to good causes.
For the special launch draw a number of additional prizes will be on offer, including, a Fitbit, tickets to the all-day Family Music Festival taking place in Telford Town Park, or a family pass for Sky Reach - the newly improved high rope adventure course also in Telford Town Park.
Cllr LeeCarter, Cabinet Member for Finance, Commercial Services and EconomicDevelopment, said: “The local lottery has been set up by Telford & Wrekin Councilin a bid to raise money for charities and good causes in Telford and Wrekin.
"Sixty per cent of the money raised will go to good causes. The rest of the money will go towards the prize money, an external lottery manager who will run the game,and VAT.
"The Telford and Wrekin Community Lottery is really exciting and I hope that lots of people join in.
“People can choose to support over 30 different local voluntary organisations and charities with more and more joining us every day.
“Any local voluntary organisations and charities can still get involved, it’s not too late.
“We are confident that the Telford and Wrekin Community Lottery will raise tens of thousands of pounds each year for local good causes. So, if you think your good causes could benefit then please visit the website and get in touch.”
"Players will be able to set up a monthly payment in advance with the option to do a three, six or twelve month repeating subscription by direct debit or payment card.
"Winners will be informed via email and will have the money transferred automatically to their chosen bank account.
