Here’s an update on the work our crews are doing this week.

Roads – Resurfacing work continues on parts of Cotwall Roundabout. Highway improvements also continue on Richmond Avenue, Dodmoor Grange and Boddington Crescent, Stirchley. 

Work starts on Hiatt Avenue, Ladycroft and Tern Way to prepare the road for resurfacing. Work is due to commence in Coalport Road in Madeley, St Luke’s Road in Doseley and Maurice Lee Avenue.  Work on the A442 (Leegomery roundabout to Sparrowhawk Way Junction) is due to be completed by the end of the week. 

Footpaths – Weather permitting, work will continue in Dawley & Aqueduct, Wrockwardine Wood & Trench, Hadley & Leegomery and Sutton Hill.

Road lining and signage – we have crews working on signing at the International Centre today. Tomorrow and Wednesday they will be doing signing in Little Dawley.  Crews will also be doing road lining work on Stafford Park 4 and Wombridge Way all week.

Street lighting – crews are continuing with upgrading lights to more energy-efficient LEDs in Wellington, Hadley & Leegomery, Brookside and Dawley.

Potholes – Find it Fix it crews are fixing potholes that have been reported to us.  Please help by reporting any you spot using this link.

Litter picking and grass cutting – estate crews will be out litter picking in areas around Brookside, Sutton Hill, Woodside, Hollinswood, Randlay, Stirchley, Malinslee, Leegomery and College. Anyone wanting to report an issue with littering in their area can do so here.  Crews are continuing with grass cutting on sites where it isn’t too wet.

Annual spring clean of A442 Queensway – litter picking along the verges starts this week.  The annual clean-up is completed under lane closures on a different section of the route each day. The closures will start at 9.30am, and all works should be completed by 3.30pm. The programme of work is expected to be completed by 10 May 2018.

Bank holiday recycling and rubbish collections – this is just a reminder that all recycling and refuse collections will be a day later for the week beginning Monday 7 May 2018 due to the bank holiday.  More info here.
