****Monday 11 Dec 8.20am weather update****
Here is the latest on road closures, school closures, bus routes, rubbish and recycling collections and which council services are affected.
Road closures
Legges Way, Madeley & Coalport Road – Closed due to fallen trees and power lines (tree gang on their way)
The Lloyds, Ironbridge – closed from the Free Bridge – lots of trees (tree gang on their way)
Buildwas Road – closed due fallen trees and power lines. Power lines sorted and trees will be sorted shortly. Everyone needs to use Jiggers Bank to get out of Ironbridge
Madeley Road – Close due to safety reasons
Cherry Tree Hill – remains closed
Bridge Bank – remains closed
Lincoln Hill to Church Road has a tree down, no formal closure in place due to only having a limited number of residents
We are continuing to monitor a number of other roads, particularly in rural areas, and we will update you if any of these need closing.

Rubbish and recycling collections
Some rubbish and recycling collections may not happen as usual because of the snow.
if your collection isn’t collected, please leave your red top and purple top bins out in a safe place and they will be collected as soon as possible.
Please take your green bin and blue bag back in and put them out on your next scheduled collection date, with any additional bags and boxes of recyclables.
If you have booked a bulk collection, you will be contacted by a member of the waste team to re-schedule when the weather is clearer.
Details of our bad weather procedures can be found here: http://www.telford.gov.uk/info/20047/winter_service/228/winter_rubbish_and_recycling_collections
Council services
All day centres are closed today and Wrekin Rider, Community Buses, Dial-a-Ride and Age UK bus services are cancelled tomorrow.
Some services will open a little later than normal, for example leisure centres will not open until 9am and other main council buildings until 9.30am.
The Leisure centres at the Phoenix/Telford Langley and Stirchley schools are closed as these schools are shut,.
Keep sending us your snow pix and take care out there!
