Water supply issues update - 7am 26 September

Severn Trent tell us that the majority of homes in South Telford affected by a water mains burst on Sunday morning now have their water supply reconnected.

Water supply issues update - 7am 26 September

Engineers have been working through the night to re-establish supplies although some homes may still be without water supply.

While work continues, the southbound slip road from the A442 Queensway to the A442 Brockton Way remains closed to allow the engineers to work safely, so please bear this in mind if you’re driving in this area as delays are likely.

Water bottle pick up points will re-open for any people who want free bottled water from 7.30am today. These are at:
• Tesco car park Madeley,
• Museum of the Gorge car park in Ironbridge
• Birchmeadow Park in Broseley

Abraham Darby Sports & Leisure Centre is open as normal today.

At this stage, we are not expecting any school closures today. However schools make this decisions themselves and may review this depending on conditions and water pressure at school sites.
Any school closures should appear on our school closures page
