Warming up for bonfire night
This year's bonfire night falls on a Sunday, so we can expect a weekend filled with bangs, flashes and lots of oohs and ahhs.
Here’s our guide to bonfire and firework events happening in and around Telford and don’t forget to keep a look out for potential fire risks including fly-tips or full bins which can be reported via the MyTelford app.
Deputy Leader for Telford & Wrekin Council and Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for homes & enforcement, Councillor Richard Overton said: “We hope everyone can celebrate safely this year and our teams will be out and about checking areas and meeting with residents so they can flag any concerns.
“The safest way to enjoy the night is at an organised event and we’re asking for residents to keep an eye out in their areas for potential fire hazards such as fly-tips or overflowing bins. These can all be reported via the MyTelford app – at any time of year - and cleared away quickly.”
The enforcement team will be in the following areas in support of people celebrating safely and should people wish to raise concerns, alternatively visit the website.
