Armed Forces Day flag is raised
Today, Telford & Wrekin Council has raised its Armed Forces flag to show its support ahead of national Armed Forces Day 2023. The flag will be raised for two weeks until Friday 30 June.
As a part of Telford and Wrekin’s wider Armed Forces Daycelebrations, the council’s annual free family event is planned for Saturday 24June on Broadoaks Playing Field, Donnington from 11am - 4pm.
The event is a great opportunity to have a fun day out withthe family and enjoy all the free entertainment and activities whilecelebrating the work of Telford and Wrekin’s Armed Forces community.
The council supports its local Armed Forces community allyear including serving personnel, their families and veterans by offering arange of support around housing, education, finance, jobs and leisurediscounts. More details can be found at www.telford.gov.uk/armedforcessupport
