Get involved with the Great British Spring Clean

The Great British Spring Clean, the nation's biggest mass-action environmental campaign, is back for its eighth year.

Get involved with the Great British Spring Clean

Taking place from 17 March to 2 April, people, groups, and schools up and down the country will be pledging to pick up as much litter as they can as part of Keep Britain Tidy's campaign.

Clearing litter from our streets and parks is good for our borough, and it's good for our mental and physical health too. It's about showing some love for where you live.

It's also helping protect our wildlife and stopping the tide of plastic that is damaging our oceans and marine life.

How to take part

Taking part in the Great British Spring Clean is easy.

All you need to do is go to the Keep Britain Tidy website and tell them how many bags you pledge to pick up. You can pledge as an individual, a group, or a school.

Help for your litter pick

If you are interested in organising a community event in your area, then we can help.

We can provide litter bags, organise bag collection and provide risk assessments. We can also lend equipment such as litter pickers and hoops. Our lending equipment is limited, so it is issued on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Your litter pick can be listed on this webpage and shared on our Street Champion Facebook Page and Volunteer Telford Facebook Page.

We would love to know what you're getting up to for this year's campaign. Get in touch via pride.officer@telford.gov.uk to tell us more.
