Keep the kids busy for one pound in February half term
Telford & Wrekin Council’s one-pound kids holiday activities are back during February half term helping residents to spend less and stay local once again.
The latest school holiday brochure has all of the family favourite activities like swimming, bike hire, tennis, golf and soft play from Monday 20 to Sunday 26 February.
For those families wanting to make the most of the outdoors Telford Bike Hub, adventure golf and disc golf are all open during half term week in Telford Town Park. The Bike Hub are also offering extra Learn 2 Ride sessions for children aged 4 plus to get pedalling. As a part of the Kids for a quid programme families can also enjoy one pound bike hire all week.
Councillor Kelly Middleton (Lab) Cabinet Member for Leisure, public health and well-being, equalities and partnerships said: “We are delighted to offer families yet another action-packed timetable of activities this half term. We understand just how valuable these one-pound sessions are to families right now - we know how expensive it can be when it comes to keeping children entertained during the holidays and that’s why we will continue to offer sessions like these to help our residents enjoy the school holidays.”
Many of these activities are also part of the council’s 10 by 10 programme which offers all children ten activities they should try before they are ten years old.
Residents will need a Telford Loyalty Card to book sessions. Activities can be booked 7 days in advance (with the exception of swimming) to help ensure you get your guaranteed slots.
