Council Leader congratulates borough's Birthday Honours recipients
Telford & Wrekin Council Leader, Councillor Shaun Davies, has passed on his congratulations and thanks to three people in Telford and Wrekin who have been recognised by the Queen in her Birthday Honours list.
Councillor Davies (Labour) said: “On behalf of Telford &Wrekin Council and all our residents, I’d like to pass on my congratulations to everyone recognised by the Queen in her Birthday Honours List, and in particular to those connected to our borough.
“Elizabeth Wilkinson was made an MBE for her service to people with dyslexia, Kate Phillips received the British Empire Medal for her work as founder of The Christmas Smile Project, and Councillor Malcolm Smith was also recognised with a British Empire Medal, for his services to local government.
“Thank you to all three of our Birthday Honours recipients. They are true champions in our community and their selfless work and dedication here in Telford and Wrekin is an inspiration for us all.”
