Love Telford Saturday 19 February is postponed due to weekend weather conditions
Due to the weather conditions forecast for Friday and Saturday, we are very sad to announce that Love Telford is postponed and will no longer be taking place this Saturday, instead it will now be taking place on Saturday 19 March 2022.
Regretfully the event cannot go ahead as planned due to Storm Eunice and the strong winds it will be bringing. The safety of visitors, performers and service providers at our events is always our number 1 priority and because of this, the decision to postpone the event has had to be taken.
Councillor Paul Watling (Labour), Cabinet Member for Stronger and Safer Communities said: “”It is very sad that Love Telford will no longer be taking place on Saturday. I know a lot of us were looking forward to attending and enjoying all the activities on offer together. We want to all enjoy a great event and although this news is disappointing, it is the right decision under the circumstances.”
The drop in session at Southwater Library for JEM – Jubilee Event Maker volunteers on Saturday is also postponed to Saturday 19 March 2022. You can still register your interest to be a volunteer at our Platinum Jubilee celebrations from 2 to 5 June, and at any of our 2022 events, online at www.telford.gov.uk/jubilee2022. Registrations will still open on Saturday 19 February.
