New contract awarded for sexual health services in Telford and Wrekin

Telford & Wrekin Council has worked jointly with Staffordshire County Council and Stoke-on-Trent City Council to commission sexual health services across the three local authority areas.

The preventing of poor sexual health will be at the heart of the new service, and MPFT will offer a "one-stop approach" at their centres across the region.

Cllr Kelly Middleton, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Public Health and Well-Being, Equalities and Partnerships (Labour), said:

"By working with other council's we have been able to ensure that we continue to provide a range of high quality and innovative local sexual health services for our residents.

"Existing sexual health services will remain open and staffed by the same experienced staff.

"I am pleased that a range of high-quality sexual health services will continue to be available for the people of Telford and Wrekin"
