Fun continues at the Ice Rink this Sunday at The Frozen Christmas on Ice Spectacular, a fabulous 3hour session aimed at younger families taking place on 19 December.  Ticket holders will get to meet the princesses and many more characters, skate to festive tunes, paint on the ice, the soft play area will be open and much more. As this will be a popular choice for families it’s recommended that tickets are booked in advance to avoid disappointment, tickets are available from Tickets Telford

Frozen Christmas on Ice launched at the beginning of December and kicked off with a Christmas themed fancy dress disco, where skaters were asked to turned up in their best Christmas themed fancy dress for the chance to win spot prizes, for younger visitors there was an afternoon of Christmas themed crafts hosted in the soft play area for the under 8s. Last weekend Telford Ice Rink held an Ugly Christmas Jumper weekend, public skate sessions were discounted for those skaters who turn up in their ugly Christmas jumpers.

“It was wonderful to see the Ice Rink start its festive programme with great events for visitors, which is just the beginning of a wider programme of events available for residents at Telford Ice Rink as part of Frozen Christmas on Ice.  Telford at Christmas is always special and having the Ice Rink play a big part of the festivities is an asset to the area. We are very lucky” said Cllr Eileen Callear, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Culture and Visitor Economy.

Plus as the school term ends this week, there’s a Schools Out Christmas Disco on Friday 17 December to celebrate the start of the school holidays.  Starting at 7.30pm this special skate session will be at the special price of £7, a great way to burn off excess energy in the excitement building up for Christmas.

Frozen Christmas on Ice concludes with a Christmas Eve family skate session, why not make this one of your new family traditions and a welcome distraction for the little ones with great prices on family tickets available.

We want to make sure all our visitors and staff are safe as our Frozen Christmas on Ice events for families and visitors continue.  We are following the latest government guidance to make sure we can continue with our events with public safety in mind. We strongly advise you wear a face covering (unless exempt) when you visit and follow the rules. Whilst in the area your nearest walk-in vaccination centre is at Southwater Library, St Quentin Gate, Telford TF3 4JG for booster jabs. No appointment is needed, you may have to wait during busy times.  Available for those aged 18 and over and had their 2nd jab 3 months ago, check the opening times online.
