Telford & Wrekin Leisure to re-open under tier 2
Leisure centres and Telford Ice Rink are both set to re-open next week under the latest government guidance.
Throughout December the public will need to pre-book online for all activities this includes gym sessions, fitness classes and also swimming.
Booking will be available from Monday 30 November at 10am at www.telfordandwrekinleisure.co.uk/bookonline
Stirchley Recreation centre will remain closed with a view to re-opening in January 2021. Existing members of Stirchley’s Recreation centre will not be charged their membership fees until the facilities are back up and running. Members will be sent further information and updates about this.
All other existing Telford & Wrekin Leisure members who have direct debits will not be charged any membership fees in December however direct debits will resume in January 2021.
For any members who are not yet ready to return the leisure team will be in touch to advise how they can re-freeze their payments.
Swimming lessons will recommence from January 2021 and all members will be contacted individually about this.
Telford Ice Rink will also re-open from next week and this will include all skating public sessions, club and patch will need to be pre-booked online. Bookings can be done 3 days in advance, from Monday 30 November at 10am via www.telfordandwrekinleisure.co.uk/bookonline
Telford & Wrekin Leisure consider the safety and wellbeing of all of its members paramount ensuring all of its facilities are clean and safe to exercise in.
Cleaning schedules have been increased throughout the leisure centres, and screens have been installed in all reception areas.
The steps taken for us to re-open will be a joint effort with the purpose of keeping us all safe.
