Residents are asked to think carefully before they decide to visit, as Government advice is to stay at home as much as possible. 

Site rules have been updated, but we are keeping this under review.

We anticipate long queues at both Halesfield and Hortonwood recycling centres, as there are limits to the number of vehicles allowed on site at any one time. So if you are unable to store your waste at home until the service is back to normal, please be prepared to queue, follow site rules and be patient.

Opening times are 9am-5pm daily, and staff are on hand to guide people through the site as safely and quickly as possible.

Site rules to keep everyone safe:

• Anyone who is self-isolating or has COVID-19 symptoms MUST NOT visit our HRC sites. More here
• Priority will be given to Telford and Wrekin residents - proof of address will be required for spot checking purposes
• A strict limit to the number of vehicles allowed on site at any one time
• As a rule, only one person will be allowed to get out to unload whilst on site
• Depending on the size of your vehicle, you may require an e-permit to visit our HRCs. This also applies to vehicles with trailers. More information here
• Only one visit will be allowed per day
• No trade or commercial waste will be accepted
• Asbestos, oils, chemicals and paints will not be accepted. They will need to be stored at home until we are able to safely process them. We will publicise when we are able to accept these materials
• The public must respect the strict 2-metre rule, both from staff and other site users
• Veolia staff will be unable to assist with unloading vehicles
• Pedestrians walking in with waste will not be permitted
