Bin day changes over Christmas & New Year

Residents are being reminded to check their bin collection calendar for the Christmas and New Year period to avoid getting caught out and missing their collection.

Bin day changes over Christmas & New Year

With earlier and later collection day changes that start from Saturday 21 December, waste contractor Veolia is delivering a reminder leaflet to households across Telford and Wrekin to remind them of the day changes.

Steve Mitchell, Director Midlands West for Veolia said: “This year’s leaflet reminds residents when to present their recycling and waste containers to ensure they don’t miss their collection.

“We know that with lots of Christmas presents and extra dinner guests comes more recycling and waste, so if you can’t wait till your collection day then don’t forget that our Household Recycling Centres are open from 9am – 5pm each day (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day).”
