Sprucing up Dale End Park
Improvements to Dale End Park are now underway thanks to a scheme being funded by Telford & Wrekin Council as part of its Pride in Our Community programme.
This much loved park is a favourite with local residents, families, dog walkers and visitors to Ironbridge as well as a prime venue for local events and activities.
The park improvements will see new pathways created to some of the picnic benches, new litter bins installed in key locations, and benches, railings and bollards painted.
Cllr Rae Evans, Telford & Wrekin Council cabinet member for people services, visitor economy and partnerships, was at the park today to see how the work is coming along.
She said: “Ironbridge is a beautiful part of the borough and has so much to offer, including the lovely Dale End Park. The furniture in the park has been looking a little tired though, so I am very pleased to see that work to spruce things up is happening.
“The recent rain we’ve had has delayed things a bit, but crews are now able to start again and the work should all be finished by the summer.”
