Meet the Cabinet on Friday 22 March
Have you got an idea to make the borough a better place? Want to meet Telford & Wrekin Council’s Cabinet?
Cabinet members are inviting residents to meet them at events across the borough on Friday (22 March) and want to hear your ideas and views.
The Meet the Cabinet events are aimed to gather ideas from all over the borough to gain an understanding of the views and opinions of residents.
On Friday 22 March, the Cabinet will visit:
Cllr Paul Watling, Cllr John Minor and Cllr Hilda Rhodes will be at Newport library, 11am-12noon
Cllr Shaun Davies, Cllr Lee Carter and Cllr Rae Evans will be at Wellington library, 1-2pm
Cllr Richard Overton, Cllr Arnold England and Cllr Shirley Reynolds will be at Oakengates library, 3-4pm
Council leader, Shaun Davies, said: “I’m really pleased to be heading out into the community again for another Meet the Cabinet event.
“Events like these enable us to gain a significant insight into the views and opinions of the public which is really helpful to the Council’s work.
“We’re always open to new ideas on all matters and we look forward to listening to a large variety of them.”
Cabinet members will be available to help with queries regarding any subject but in case of interest, these are their specific Cabinet roles:

Cllr Lee Carter is Cabinet Member for Finance, Commercial Services & Economic Development
Cllr Shirley Reynolds is Cabinet Member for Employment, Education & Lifelong Learning
Cllr Richard Overton is Deputy Leader & Cabinet Member for Housing & Enforcement
Cllr Arnold England is Cabinet Member for Health & Wellbeing
Cllr Rae Evans is Cabinet Member for People Services, Visitor Economy & Partnerships
Cllr Paul Watling is Cabinet Member for Children & Adults Early Help & Support (Lead Member for CYP)
Cllr John Minor is Cabinet Member for Leisure, Green Spaces & Parks
Cllr Hilda Rhodes is Cabinet Member for Transport, Roads & Broadband
