CoCo’s Dessert Factory opens soon in Wellington
Telford & Wrekin Council has awarded a £10,000 Empty Unit Incentive Grant to support the opening of a new business offering a range of sweet treats in Wellington.
CoCo’s Dessert Factory, which is soon to open at 5 Market Square, will serve a wide range of freshly made desserts that cater for all dietary requirements.
The Empty Unit Incentive Grant is one of the many ways the Council is supporting businesses and rejuvenating high streets as part of its Pride in Our Community High Street initiative.
Getting a £10,000 grant from Telford & Wrekin Council’s Pride in Our Community High Street Fund has meant Wolverhampton-based business owners can bring CoCo’s Dessert Factory to Wellington.
Cllr Lee Carter, Telford & Wrekin Council cabinet member for finance, commercial services and economic development, handed over the grant cheque this week to Dilbara Singh and Parmvir Kaur, who will run the Wellington branch.
Cllr Carter said: “These grants are helping businesses to grow as well as creating jobs and breathing new life into high streets. This shop unit has been empty for a while and so it is good to see something a bit different opening up. I wish them the very best of luck for the venture.”
Parmvir Kaur said: “Our passion is creating delicious desserts and cakes for the enjoyment of everyone. This is an exciting time for us and we are really looking forward to opening in Wellington.”
