Pride In Our Community improvements - week beginning 15 October 2018

Here are details of what our crews are working on this week:

* Roads – work continues in Kingsway Crescent, Kingsland, Charles Road and Arleston Avenue, Manor Road, Toll Road and Stone Crescent, Arleston, Hollies Road and Orleton Lane, Wellington. Get live updates on street works and traffic management schemes in Telford here

* Church Aston culvert – The Dale in Church Aston remains closed following the collapse of the carriageway earlier this month. Crews are carrying out further surveys of the underground culvert to try and establish its extent. The culvert is thought to be more than 150 years old and does not appear on any maps. The road will be shut for up to four weeks.

* Footpaths – improvements continue in Oakengates and The Nedge.

* Road lining – road lining crews are in Little Wenlock and Wrockwardine parishes on a find and fix basis.

* Signing – crews are working in Brookside and College wards.

* Potholes - crews are filling potholes that have been reported to us. Please report any potholes you spot here or via the Everyday Telford app.

* Street lighting – crews are working on upgrading street lights in Ketley, Wellington/Wrockwardine, Great Dawley and Lawley & Overdale. If you have a question about street lighting, please email streetlighting@telford.gov.uk.

* Litter picking, grass cutting and pruning – crews are out grass cutting, pruning, weeding and litter picking. You can report a grounds maintenance issue here . Anyonewanting to report an issue with littering in their area can do so here.

* Improvements in Hollies Road and surrounding area in Wellington continue until mid-December. Temporary road closures are in place, but are being phased in order to keep disruption to local residents & businesses to a minimum. More info, including FAQs and contact details here.

* Street Champions – our volunteers are doing a champion job in their communities. They report issues they see to us and do litter picks (among other things). If you would like to volunteer as a Street Champion in your area email pride.officer@telford.gov.uk
