Council meeting with Telford MP
A senior cabinet member and senior council officers are this morning meeting with Telford MP Lucy Allan to discuss the process of setting up the inquiry into child sexual exploitation.
Cabinet member Councillor Lee Carter, council director Clive Jones and assistant director Jonathan Eatough are meeting the MP at her Telford constituency office.
Subjects scheduled for discussion include the inquiry process, lobbying for government funding to tackle the issue and future funding of the Holly Project.
Councillor Carter said: “We have asked for a meeting with the MP on a number of occasions and we are very pleased that we now have the opportunity to fully brief her on the facts.”
