Ask the Leader questions online on Wednesday 28 February

Residents will have the opportunity to ask the council leader Councillor Shaun Davies questions and also to suggest ideas online at the next “Virtual Meet Shaun” event.

Councillor Davies will be available on Facebook and then Twitter on the evening of Wednesday February 28 and is happy to discuss any subject, although questions and suggestions for Telford’s 50th birthday are especially welcomed.

He will be on the council’s Twitter @TelfordWrekin from 5.30-6.30pm and then on the council’s Facebook from 6.30-7.30pm.

Councillor Davies said: “I am looking forward to answering questions and hearing all views.

“We have a very special year ahead to celebrate Telford’s 50th birthday and this virtual event gives residents great opportunity to make suggestions and give me their views on what we have planned.

“This year gives us a real chance to demonstrate Pride In Our Community and there will also be a range of lasting legacy projects to ensure this year has a positive impact for Telford’s future.

“This is also the latest in a series of engagement sessions that I have held across the borough and it gives a broader audience a chance to have their voices heard.

“I will be asking for questions earlier in the day so that we have a few ready to respond to when the evening starts.

“I will try to keep all queries on the same Facebook thread so that none get missed. On Twitter I will use the hashtag #MeetShaun.”
