Cllr Shaun Davies, Leader of Telford & Wrekin Council said: “Litter blights our towns, villages and countryside. We’re doing something about it, but we can’t do it without your help. This is another chance for us all to take Pride in Our Community.

“It’s also a chance to join our growing army of Street Champions. We have more than 300 volunteers who improve the local environment by taking part in events such as these litter picks, or by planting bulbs and trees and by reporting local issues to the Council for us address.

“So, if you have an hour or two to spare, come and join us at any of these events.”

The Great British Spring Clean is a campaign from Keep Britain Tidy to bring people across the country together to clear up litter. The organisation wants to inspire 400,000 people (referred to as #Litterheroes) to get outdoors, get active and help clear up rubbish.
