Telford at 50 – Great ideas get grant funding

If YOU have a great idea for a celebration for Telford’s 50th birthday in 2018 but don’t quite have the budget, you can still apply for funding to help make this happen.
The Telford Pride @ 50 Celebration Grant is open to community/voluntary groups, neighbourhood groups, faith groups, charities, other not for profit organisations, Town or Parish Councils, schools, businesses or individuals.
This grant is available through the Council’s Pride in Our Community programme to help you organise celebration events during Telford’s 50th anniversary. You can apply for up to £2,000 towards your celebration event.
Events must be distinct and different to those usually carried out over the course of a year and must be open, allowing the whole community to get involved. All events must celebrate Telford’s 50th anniversary and fall under at least one of the following themes: People and places, Culture and communities, Green spaces, Get active.
