TV racing pundit Clare Balding meets Telford children at theatre book signing
Award winning broadcaster, author and horse racing pundit Clare Balding entertained Telford school pupils at a signing of her new children’s book at Telford’s Oakengates Theatre @ The Place today. (Wed 24 May)
Nearly 500 children and their teachers from local primary schools attended the signing and listened to Clare talking about the book, which is titled The Racehorse Who Wouldn’t Gallop.
Clare signed both books and autographs for the children and said afterwards: "It's fantastic to be given the opportunity to come here and meet with so many kids from a range of schools.
"The kids here are active and curious, they want to learn and they love reading.
"A lot of them have animals and are interested in riding or have horses themselves, so that's great as well for this story."
Schools that were represented were Meadows Primary, Randlay Primary, High Ercall Primary, Queenswood Primary, Newdale Primary, Muxton Primary and Wrockwardine Wood Junior School.
