Film premiere launch for new Midlands fostering film

Telford & Wrekin Council is one of 12 local authorities that have spent 18 months working with the Reel Twenty Five film production company to produce ‘Giants’, a 3 minute film telling the story of Jack and Ellie a brother and sister who want to stay together when they are find themselves in foster care.

Clive Jones, Telford & Wrekin Council’s Director of Children’s and Adult Services said: “This is a really high quality film and really helps to get across the urgent need we have for people to step forward who have that extra space to help keep brothers and sisters together.”

“No one council could have made this on their own, so it’s great that we have all been able to get together to make it happen.”

The theme of ‘Giants’ was devised to blend the concept of ‘giants’, or people who help us in society such as foster carers, and also to highlight the strong bond and relationships that brothers and sisters have as they ‘look up’ and care for each other in life and become ‘giants’ to each other.

Telford & Wrekin Council’s Fostering team will be out and about in the borough during Foster Care Fortnight.  If you would like to find out more about fostering, come and see us:
