UK Footgolf is coming to Horsehay Village Golf Centre
An exciting new activity is coming to Telford as a new UK Footgolf course opens at Horsehay Village Golf Centre next month (April).
Footgolf is a combination of two of the biggest sports football and golf. The object of the game is to get the ball into the hole using only your feet in the fewest number of shots possible.
The fun family game is played on a golf course using a size 5 football. There are currently over 180 Footgolf courses in the UK.
The course is currently being developed. There will be 9 holes at Horsehay Village Golf Centre and customers will get the choice to play either 9 or 18 holes during their visit.
This fun family activity is open to everyone and the average game lasts about 1.5 hours.
Footgolf has also been added to the Leisure Services kid’s holiday activity programme for the Easter break for the first time for children looking to try a fantastic new activity.
Footgolf will open to the public on Monday 10 April and will be available to play 7 days a week. Prices will start from £5 per junior (with TLC) and £7 per adult (with TLC) or £19.95 for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 juniors).
Councillor Richard Overton, cabinet member for Housing, Leisure and Health, said: “I am delighted that we are offering this new family activity at Horsehay Village Golf Centre. Footgolf will make a wonderful new addition to the wide range of activities we offer within the borough.
"This is great way to enjoy time with friends and family outdoors and the best part is you don’t have to be really fit to play.”
