Final works to start tonight to complete Limekiln Bank roundabout
Final works are due to start tonight (Thu) to complete Priorslee’s Limekiln Bank roundabout.
This will mean the roundabout will be closed overnight from 8pm-6am from tonight until December 23 to enable overnight surfacing works.
This will result in some noise disruption for local residents, who have been informed of this by letter.
The works are weather dependent but the mid term forecast is for continued mild night time temperatures, meaning the work should be able to be completed as planned.
Limekiln Bank island is one of six roundabouts that are being upgraded across the borough as part of the Telford Growth Point package.
This is funded by a combination of Marches Local Enterprise Partnership funding and Section 106 contributions from developers.
It is aimed at improving capacity to ensure the road network is capable of coping with anticipated increases in traffic levels as a result of significant inward investment.
