Businesses back ‘PRH4Me’
Bosses, attending the launch of the ‘Enterprise Telford’ economic development strategy in Priorslee on Thursday 13 October added their pledges to Telford & Wrekin Council’s ‘PRH4Me’ campaign, adding to the growing total of pledges currently standing at more than 13,500.
Addressing the audience of representatives from more than a hundred companies, Paul Hinkins, of the Telford Business Board said: “It’s something that we need to try and save in Telford. There is a £28million Women and Children’s Unit that’s likely to be closed, and the A&E.
"We have an ageing working population in this borough. We desperately need to hang on to those two services. Health and wellbeing are all part of the package on people wanting to live here and, indeed, invest here.
"We must be able to offer that whole package and look after the individuals and families that are within the borough. This is not a competition about whether it’s Telford or Shrewsbury, it’s about making sure that we have both.”
