Monthly fostering roadshow in Telford Shopping Centre
Have you ever thought about fostering, but didn’t know who to ask?
Every month until November, fostering staff from Telford & Wrekin Council and an experienced foster carer will be in the town’s Shopping Centre.
On the last Friday of each month between midday and 2pm, they will be on hand to offer any guidance or advice to anyone interested in looking after a child who comes into care in the borough.
Councillor Paul Watling, cabinet member for Children, Young People and Communities said: “If you were thinking of becoming involved in fostering, then this is a chance to find out more. In the very informal setting of a shopping centre, you can make that initial enquiry. Our staff and foster carers can speak honestly based on their experiences and dispel any myths about it too.”
The team will be outside Pandora between midday and 2pm on the following dates:
- Friday 29 July,
- Friday 26 August
- Friday 30 September
- Friday 28 October
- and Friday 25 November.
