Don't stress - try Tai Chi
Good exercise doesn’t need to be strenuous. Why not try something that refreshes your mind, energises your body and is relaxing too?

The first session is this Saturday, part of the Carnival of Giants event. Further sessions will be run over the following three Saturdays. They will be led by Faye Yip from the Chinese Arts and Culture Centre in Telford will be in the Town Park to lead you through Tai Chi, yoga and Qigong (a mixture of Tai Chi and yoga).
Faye described the physical and mental benefits. She said: “The hectic pace of modern living and lack of exercise leaves us tired and exhausted. You need some form of exercise that gently and steadily relaxes the body and, most importantly, refreshed the mind. The way we move and breathe, stand and walk and even sit can have a positive effect on our general health.
“Tai Chi, Yoga and Qigong relaxes and uplifts you. It soothes your heart and enriches your soul.”
The sessions are free-of charge, funded by the Telford Sports and Recreation Trust Focus Grant Scheme.
They will take place outdoors (weather permitting) from 11am-midday on Saturday 16 July, 23 July, 30 July and 6 August.
