Information ref National Union of Teachers strike
Tuesday 5 July will see a strike by members of the National Union of Teachers, which will have an effect on some schools in Telford and Wrekin.

Schools are not obliged to tell us what effect the strike will have on their staffing levels or whether it means the school will remain open, partially open or have to close.
A decision to close a school is made by the board of school governors in conjunction with the head teacher of the school.
In some instances, we do get informed of the effect that industrial action will have so here is a summary of what we know so far. This information relates to council-controlled schools only, not academies.
Of those we know about we have three schools closed tomorrow and 12 partially open. The rest are either open or we don’t know.
Schools closed are Charlton School, Lightmoor Village Primary and Woodlands Primary.
Schools partially open are High Ercall Primary, Lawley Primary, Randlay Primary, Hollinswood Primary, Redhill Primary, Sir Alexander Fleming Primary, John Fletcher of Madeley Primary, St Peter and St Paul Catholic Primary, Millbrook Primary, Hadley Learning Community Secondary phase,, Haughton School and the Bridge @ HLC.
You can check whether your child's school is open here
However please note that the onus to update a status rests with the school and not the council. If your school's status is not showing, please raise it with the school direct.
