Beyond the Barricade set to be musical extravaganza

Beyond the Barricade has delighted audiences throughout the UK and mainland Europe for more than a decade with its exciting concert portrayal of the greatest songs in musical theatre, all performed live and now it’s heading to Oakengates Theatre @ The Place this October.

Recreating original West End and Broadway musical hit songs with amazing authenticity, this cast of past principle performers from Les Miserables present a blockbusting two hour show, and is now established as the nation’s favourite musical theatre concert.

Andy Reiss and David Fawcett, two of the stars of the show, devised Beyond the Barricade after appearing in the Manchester and London casts of Les Miserables, but expect to hear more than those fabulous songs from Les Mis, think Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Chris Superstar, The Jersey Boys, The Lion King, Blood Brothers, Miss Saigon and more.

Alongside Andy Reiss and David Fawcett star Katie Leeming and Rebecca Vale, together with an ensemble of of talented musicians.  As well as these four stars all having taken up roles in Les Miserables shows, they all featured in the 25th Anniversary Concert, staged at the O2 Arena in London.

Beyond the Barricade will be a spectacular evening for any fan of the musicals, and equally for anyone who has never been but wants to experience the grand night out that a trip to a musical encapsulates.

Beyond the Barricade comes to Oakengates Theatre @ The Place on Saturday 22 October. Tickets cost £23 each (£22 concessions) and can be booked online at www.theplacetelford.com by calling the box office on 01952 382382, or in person at the theatre or Southwater One in Telford Town Centre. 

A pre show meal is also available at the theatre prior to the show.  Enjoy two lovely courses at 6pm for just £9.75 per person.
