The Mums are back!
Brand-new production ‘Mum’s the Word 2’ will be heading to Oakengates Theatre @ The Place in October with a star studded cast taking the audience on the hilarious and emotional journey that is motherhood.

Starring Michelle Heaton (Liberty X), Gemma Bissex (Eatenders/Hollyoaks), Rebecca Wheatley (Casualty) and Polly Highton, Mum’s the Word laughs at the comedic horrors of bringing up children in this new and updated version of the hit show at Oakengates on Tuesday 4 October.
Join the mums, now ‘older and wider’, on their continuing journey into their new parenting nightmare that is teenagers!
Described as ‘hysterically funny’, ‘poignant’ and ‘thoroughly enjoyable’ throughout, this fantastic follow-up retains many of the funniest moments from the original production as it moves onward into, not just the live of the teenagers, but how the mums feel about growing older, their families and their relationships.
One review of the show, from the Vancouver Sun, says it is “Very funny, Anyone who currently has, once had, or plans ever to have teenagers should see this show for the horrible, hilarious truths it tells about parenthood.”
Both funny and emotional at the same time, this is a wonderful evening out and a chance to see a talented starring cast perform.
Mum’s the Word 2 takes place at Oakengates Theatre @ The Place on Tuesday 4 October at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £24 each and can be booked online at www.theplacetelford.com by calling the box office on 01952 382382, or in person at the theatre or Southwater One in Telford Town Centre.
